THE ODYSSEY, A DISCUSSION
Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of the classic Greek epic, The Odyssey, is, in many contexts, a juxtaposition of both man’s wit and folly. It exhibits this concept through parallel processes of men succumbing to desire in contrast with Odysseus’s single greatest virtue, patience. It serves as a meditation on the role of willpower and human connection in driving perseverance.
BRAYE
For Braye, music is less about chasing a moment and more about understanding the human experience. Born and raised in Port Harcourt, the Nigerian singer-songwriter has forged an unconventional path through music, teaching himself to sing, write, produce and play multiple instruments while holding onto an unwavering belief that creating songs is a worthy pursuit in itself.
His latest EP, LOVE STRAY, captures a period of exploration, uncertainty and curiosity around love, blending reggae, soul, jazz and West African influences into something distinctly his own. Rather than simply drawing on personal experiences, BRAYE approaches songwriting as a way to observe life, allowing melodies to emerge freely before shaping them into intimate, honest compositions.
BEKS
After a decade of touring, writing, producing and building an audience independently, BEKS is finally seeing the seeds of her hard work bloom. From having her music featured on television to stepping onto the panel as a guest judge on Drag Race Down Under vs. The World, the artist is entering a thrilling new chapter. Her infectious single, Melodrama, has become a standout moment, bringing together her punk roots and love of dance music into one theatrical, high-energy anthem. With remixes on the way, new music already brewing in the studio, and a feminist EDM track set to arrive soon, BEKS is embracing the momentum - and preparing for what comes next.
LEROY CLAMPITT
After years of shaping the sound of some of pop’s biggest names, songwriter and producer Leroy Clampitt is finally stepping into the spotlight with his debut solo album, Get Happy. Having worked with artists including Madison Beer, Lily Allen, Sabrina Carpenter, Laufey, Ashe and Rachel Chinouriri, Clampitt has spent much of his career helping others find their musical voice. Now, he turns inward.
Created largely by himself over just a few weeks, Get Happy began as a personal experiment - an opportunity to escape the pressures of Los Angeles and discover what his own sound might be when there were no expectations or outside influences. The result is an intimate yet optimistic record that explores mortality, burnout, depression and hope, while never losing its sense of humour or joy.
